UNIWORLD tO eXPand rIver-CrUIse ItInerarIes
Uniworld Boutique river Cruise Collection has announced two new 10-day europe river-cruise itineraries for 2017, as well as enhancements to its guest experience.
the new itineraries, rhine-Main discovery & Munich and Paris & Impressions of the seine, will spotlight the history, art, gastronomy and architecture of Germany and France. the itineraries will also introduce new Jewish- heritage programming. Guests will have the opportunity to choose Jewish-heritage excursions on each departure, such as a half-day guided excursion to the dachau concentration camp in Munich.
also new in 2017, Uniworld will include all port fees in the total cost of the cruise. the line will offer 24-hour room and en-suite butler services, as well as a new onboard concierge service. a new super ship, the S.S. Joie de Vivre, will sail the seine river on the Paris & normandy itinerary and become the cruise line’s first ship to dock in Paris.
UNIVERSAL WIll OPen a neW WaterParK In 2017
Universal is building a new water theme park in Orlando, Florida. Universal’s volcano Bay, scheduled to open this spring, will feature 18 attractions, including some that travel right through the iconic Krakatau volcano. towering high above the island, the volcano will cascade waterfalls by day and illuminate lava effects at night.
spanning 28 acres, volcano Bay will transport visitors to a lush, tropical oasis inspired by the Pacific isles. Guests will be able to play and relax in four unique areas of the park: Krakatau, Wave village, river village and rainforest village. the park’s location within the Universal Orlando resort will make it easily accessible to guests of the property’s on-site hotels.
CRYSTAL CRUISES enters rIver-CrUIsInG MarKet

marks the newest chapter in Crystal Cruises’ brand expansion. Crystal Mozart’s maiden voyage on July 13, 2016 marked the official launch of Crystal River Cruises, which will see four additional river yachts launched by the end of next summer.

for the fast-growing Four Points brand. the opening comes on the heels of the groundbreaking deals
signed by starwood in Cuba earlier this year, which established Starwood as the first U.S.-based hospitality company to enter the market in nearly 60 years.
the new Four Points features 186 guest rooms, meeting facilities, 24-hour fitness center, and a fully equipped spa. the property is located in Havana’s Miramar district – a business and financial center that houses many international embassies.

Disney Shanghai Resort officially opened this summer. as disney’s largest international park, each of the themed lands introduces new levels of imagination and storytelling.
the park, which comprises disneyland, disneytown, Wishing star Park and two hotels, offers guests a cultural experience that was imagined especially
for China – never-before-seen lands, one-of-a-kind attractions and experiences. It also features the largest castle of any disney park.
Most notably, one of the rides not found in any of the other disney parks includes the trOn lightcycle Power Run coaster. Based on the TRON films, the coaster places riders atop individual two-wheeled “lightcycles” that are launched into a giant space filled with lights, projections and sound effects. It is said to be one of disney’s fastest rides.
In Monte Carlo this July, godmother of Seven Seas Explorer, Her serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco, cut a red velvet ribbon, which sent a primat bottle of veuve Clicquot smashing against the ship’s hull to officially christen the newest vessel in Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ fleet.
Seven Seas Explorer delivers an all-inclusive luxury cruise experience, with extravagantly designed theaters and lounges, all-balcony accommodations, five gourmet restaurants, and an unprecedented level of personalized service. the new ship sails in the Mediterranean on eight- to 16-night itineraries until december, when it reroutes to Miami for sailings in the Caribbean.
